Open your living room.

Two or more people, any place, talking about Jesus. That's a cGroup. If you've got a heart for people and a door you'll open, you can host one. We'll handle the rest.

You need exactly four things.

A heart for peopleA genuine desire to gather folks and watch them become family. Non-negotiable, and probably why you're reading this.
A placeYour living room, office, favorite park, a coffee shop table. If people fit, it works.
Something to eatNot required. But every gathering is better with snacks. This is settled science.
Something to dig intoA video study, a book, or just an open Bible and good questions. We'll help you land on the right material.

And notice what's not on the list.

From "maybe" to meeting.

01

Apply to host

A short application: who you are and the kind of group you're dreaming about. Approval is a conversation, not a gauntlet.

02

Register your group

Once approved, register the group with our cGroup coordinator: day, time, place, and what you'll gather around.

03

Meet your coach

A cGroup host leader will reach out to connect, pray with you, and walk you through next steps. You're never hosting alone.

04

Start inviting

Friends, family, coworkers, the people you sit near on Sunday. Most people say yes to a real invitation.

05

Go

Pick your first night and go. We'll send resources and check in along the way.

Before you ask.

What do we do at the very first meeting?+

Keep it light. Start with an icebreaker (a fun question that breaks the tension), do introductions, and let it feel social. A relaxed first night makes every discussion after it more natural.

What's my job during discussion?+

Less than you think. Remember the 70/30 rule: 70% of the talking from the group, 30% from you. Ask questions, leave room for silence (people are thinking), and keep things on track and life-giving.

How do groups handle childcare?+

Whatever works for your group: kids in a separate room while adults meet, or pool funds for a babysitter at a central house. There's no official rule. The key is communication, so everyone's comfortable with the plan.

What if someone asks a question I can't answer?+

Totally fine. Say "great question, let me find out," do some digging, call your coach, and bring it back next week. Nobody expects the host to be the answer key.

What if my group isn't growing?+

Group health isn't a head count. Three people genuinely sharing life together is a healthy group. Keep tending it. God brings the people; you just keep the door open.

What if someone shares something heavy?+

You're not alone, and you're not their counselor. For anything beyond what the group can carry, connect them with our pastoral care team. For anything urgent or dangerous, loop in a staff member right away.

What's off-limits in a cGroup?+

Four things: business or sales pitches, collecting offerings, unapproved materials or speakers, and gossip. Everything else, including being loud and having way too much fun, is fair game.

How much time is this, really?+

Most groups meet [weekly or every other week] for [about 90 minutes], in [10-12 week] runs with breaks between. Prep is usually [under an hour]: pick the question set or press play, text the group, put out snacks.

Where do I find study material?+

We have access to study material covering a wide range of topics: men, women, marriage, parenting, and more. Your coach will point you to it, and can get new material approved before you launch it.

Ready to open the door?

Tell us about you and the group you're imagining. A host leader will reach out, pray with you, and get you launched.
